Lash Lift FAQ
I’m allergic to lash extensions and adhesives. Can I have a lash lift?
Most reactions to lash extensions adhesives are caused by contact with the skin and through a build-up of exposure to Cyanoacrylate (the ingredient found in all lash extensions adhesives). Elleebana’s Lash Lifting products and adhesives don’t contain cyanoacrylate so the chance of a reaction to lash lifting will be slim however a patch test is the best way to determine if a client might have sensitivities.
My client has lash extensions on but wants a lash lift. Can I remove the extensions and lift the lashes in the same treatment?
The short answer is no – the treatment can only be performed after the removal of lash extensions on a case by case basis and with careful lash health assessment
Can my client wear mascara?
Absolutely! You can choose to wear Elleevate Mascara immediately after your lash lift (and remove at the evening using Belma Remove make-up remover) or wait till after the first 24 hours then apply regular mascara. Remember that mascaras need to be replaced every 3 months to avoid bacteria growth and infections in your lashes/eyes.
What are the rules after a lash lift?
Be gentle with your lashes; no rubbing. Do not get your lashes wet for the first 24 hrs. Do not use harsh products on your eyes/lashes. Use of Sauna/Steam is possible after 24hrs but may weaken the effect of the lift.
How do you clean your eyes after an eyelash lift?
Do not get the lashes wet or use product on them for 24 hours after treatment. Remove eye makeup gently with a non-oily remover. Gently brush your lashes daily with a lash brush. Use a mineral mascara with natural fibres for the best finish.
